of Commerce
The Bradley County Chamber of
Commerce is the local information one-stop shop for Bradley
County, Arkansas. Like Chambers all over the country, its the
first place people think of when they need information about a
town.
The Bradley County Chamber of Commerce has been in existence for
over seventy-five years. While it may have seen its share of
leadership, one thing always remains the same - its commitment to
improving the quality of life for all citizens of Bradley County.
As an organization, the Chamber of Commerce is the community
development arm of Bradley County. The members believe that what
is good for the county will also be good for local business.
The Chamber plans ribbon cuttings, gives new residents welcome
packets, provides information about the county in print and
electronic form, answer calls, and makes every effort to assist
when the staff receives a request. It assist with local community
events such as the Pink Tomato Festival, the Bradley County Fair,
the Buck Fever Festival and the Annual Holiday festivities.
Bradley County's Chamber is a busy and vital organization.
In addition to its present
activities, the Bradley County Chamber is helping to develop
future leaders through its sponsorship of the Leadership Bradley
County Program. This program provides training to interested
individuals and company representatives on what it takes to be a
leader and issues that are of concern to Bradley County. The 2000
class was the first sponsored under the Chamber's affiliate, the
Leadership Bradley County Alumni Association.
The Chamber is also an active
community partner. Its members are active in various organizations
and community initiatives. The Chamber is a strong support of
economic development and educational excellence through its
involvement with groups such as the Bradley County Industrial
Development Corporation (BCIDC), the Southeast Arkansas Community
Based Education Center (SEACBEC) and the Arkansas Scholars
Program. |

PINK TOMATO FESTIVAL
T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST
The Bradley County Pink Tomato
Festival Committee is accepting designs for the 2008 Pink Tomato
Festival t-shirts. The designs can be on any size or type paper.
The designs may be taken to the Bradley County Chamber of
Commerce at 104 North Myrtle Street in Warren or they can be
e-mailed to
jtolefree@sbcglobal.net. The deadline to enter is December
3, 2007. The winning design will receive $250.00.

The Bradley County Chamber of
Commerce is governed by a twenty-one member board of directors.
These directors make a three-year commitment to guide the
organization's direction. This board is headed by a Chairman, the
Chairman-Elect, a Vice-Chairman, Treasure and Past Chairman. Daily
operation of the Chamber is entrusted to the President and the
Administrative Assistant. They are also responsible for carrying
out the program of work as set forth by the board.
The Chamber is not a lending or real estate agent.
Rather is serves as a provider of information and acts as a
connection for services that people are seeking. Chamber personnel
are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and are there to
assist. The Bradley County
Chamber of Commerce, - past, present and future - is packed
with possibilities. And like the county's famous tomatoes, it
never fails to satisfy. |
